Autumn 1 2026

All of the children have had an excellent start to the year! They have settled in really well and have gotten used to the new routines, adults and peers. 

This half term our topic is 'Change'. In Science, the children have been exploring hot and cold and the changes in the weather during different seasons. In Literacy we have been looking at the story We're Going on a Bear Hunt. The children have had lots of fun engaging with the sensory story and talking about what happens in the story and what their favourite part is. In Art the children really enjoyed making their fire paintings and having a go at painting with ice. 

We have also started swimming this half term and the children have really enjoyed it! They are all growing in confidence in the water and learning the how to stay safe in the water. 

What an excellent start to the year and we look forward to the rest of the school year 🙂
