About our school

Middleton School was formed by the amalgamation of Broxbournebury and Hillside schools in September 1990. We moved to our new premises just outside of the town of Ware in September 1993 and opened as a Primary School for pupils who have Moderate Learning Difficulties, Speech and Language and Communication Difficulties and Autism. 

We have grown substantially over the years and now have approximatley 114 pupils on roll.  We cater for pupils from 4 – 11 years with a wide range of needs including autism, speech, language and communication needs and a variety of other challenges. The pupils come from the whole of East Hertfordshire, from Bishops Stortford to Waltham Cross.  All pupils at Middleton have an Education Health Care Plan.
